Chain Riveter Heavy Duty type
To replace modern chains the link needs to be pressed on and riveted on due to the 'soft' link design. This is a precision job and this tool sets the plate to the exact spacing so there's no crushing of the 'O' rings but it also allows you to rivet the soft link over.
This tool also allows you split the old chain by removing a complete link by pressing out the rivets. For best results, grind off the rivet heads on both rivets so the tool has less stress placed upon it when pushing it out.
